So busy

School is starting to get down to the end and my anniversary(five years eek!) is next week and my boyfriends birthday is a week later so a lot of planning and crafting in secret going on here. I'm plugging a head on my London pillow and it's turning our better than I imagined. I got a new app too that allows you to do an inventory of embroidery floss and attach them to projects- now I dont have to bring it to the craft store and match thread I ran out of, it's awesome! Have a good weekend everyone :)

New project!

The only thing I need is something to inspire me and distract me from all the things I need to finish...oh well!!

I was inspired by these Sundance embroidered pillows and decided to make my own and put things from our London trip on a pillow for our giant sofa. Just got back from Michaels and got some thread and gonna start printing out and carbon transfering to my fabric. Can't wait to update the progress.

we're home...

Were finally home and had an AMAZING holiday abroad. We managed to have some awesome adventures that im sure we will be telling our kids about one day. The architecture is so amazing, I probably could have taken photos for years but I think my boyfriend would have finally left me. My favourite thing: the wildflowers in England are daffodils, I think its the coolest thing ever that they grow everywhere and theyre wild. We did a lot of antique shopping there, I tried to hit every market that I could and ended up coming home with a few things, but it wasnt the antique finds that I was expecting. My aunt was telling me that they are a very throw away society so stuff just doesnt end up at the antique or seconhand stores the way that it does here. Kinda sad really cause I thought it was going to be some of the coolest stuff. Oh well I did manage to bring home 2 secondhand fur coats--that being said I would never ever buy fur that wasnt secondhand. Well heres some photos from our trip and Im already working on a couple crafts that ill post in a bit, I left my camera at my bfs moms house so she is mailing it to me.

All packed!

So were all packed and ready for our trip...for the most part. I've been packed for almost a month now and felt so prepared. Luckily we didn't forget too much, just a bag of stuff I needed for the next few days while I stay at my parents. The only important thing was our cell chargers and my laptop charger, luckily we have extras. Be back I'm two weeks from our London adventure!

6 more days

Only 6 more days til my boyfriend and I go on our London adventure. I am so excited for all the thrifting and hipstamatic to come. In preparation I actually got my boyfriend crafting. He embroidered a pirate ship to make a luggage tag. This was his first embroidery and I was very impressed. I sewed it to some black denim and used an old pleather bracelet as the tie on. Not so bad :)

Heres a few more pictures just for fun :)

Antique shopping

It's been a while, I've been busy planning my trip to London this month! It was kinda spontaneous by me and my boyfriend but we are so excited. I've got a chalkboard countdown in the kitchen that I change every day and I have some big plans while we are there. Today though I went thrifting in San Juan capistrano with my mom. Ended up getting a vintage set of Pyrex for only 25 bucks for four pieces, steal!

Here's some cute photos from the store.
